Security Officer - Access Control

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
