Security Officer - Afternoons Full-Time

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. You will provide exceptional customer service, respond to inquiries, and help promote a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a front desk within a technology-focused office location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, maintain visitor logs, and issue or collect visitor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, reception-area activity, alarms, cameras, and communication systems, escalating unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and provide clear information and directions to support a professional and welcoming front-desk environment.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
