Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, helping to control access, verify permissions when required, and report maintenance, hazard, and/or policy-related issues.
- Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and completing required logs, reports, and other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Skills
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Ability to respond calmly to incidents and disturbances.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of access-related policies and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to conduct regular patrols and monitor areas.
