Security Officer - Afternoon / Midnight Shifts

Job Description

Award-winning Allied Universal is hiring Security Officers for its Southwest Suburbs locations. Interviews will take place on August 19th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Holiday Inn - 1471 Rock Creek Blvd, Joliet, Illinois 60431. Applicants should wear business casual attire, including a collared shirt, chinos, dress pants, or black jeans without cuts, holes, or rips. No crop tops, t-shirts, hoodies, leggings, shorts, durags, bonnets, wave caps, fitted caps, baseball caps, clogs, or flip flops are allowed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

Qualifications

  • Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only
