Security Officer - Afternoon Logistics Center Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location in Oceanside, CA. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution facility buildings, loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and vehicle or pedestrian traffic in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting the orderly flow of logistics and distribution operations.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.35 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
