About the role

As a Security Officer Screening Operations in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings entering or leaving the location in accordance with site protocols and screening procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or access authorization, and report unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or policy violations to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to post instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to shipping, receiving, loading, and/or screening areas as directed by site needs.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
