About the role
As a Security Officer Badge Operations in Sioux City, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to alarms, and provide clear communication and customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorized access, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity or security-related concerns.
- Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, delivery personnel, and site leadership while documenting incidents and daily activities.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
