Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Services in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and authorized entry and exit activities at the location.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, check visitor logs, and report unauthorized or unusual activity in accordance with site policies and security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Support vehicle and/or pedestrian screening activities, maintain required documentation, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding access requests, deliveries, and restricted area protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
