Security Officer Access Reception

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document authorized access in support of site access control operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured access points, and/or other security-related concerns.
• Observe loading, shipping, and receiving areas for access control compliance and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or operational issues according to site procedures.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
