Security Officer Access Monitor

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access within the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
• Support lobby and reception access activities by assisting with visitor check-in processes, directing guests, and reporting suspicious or unusual activity.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Skills

• Security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
