Security Officer Access Management

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Management in Nicholasville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, respond to security-related concerns, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying visitor, driver, contractor, and employee credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access logs, issue and collect visitor credentials as authorized, and report access discrepancies or unauthorized entry attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
