Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aero and defense location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and monitor assigned areas. You will maintain a visible, professional presence, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication.

What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a defense-related location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor activity in support of authorized access procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, access issues, and/or policy violations.
- Support security-related operations by maintaining logs, completing required reports, and following protocols for restricted areas, deliveries, and/or escorted access.
Minimum Requirements
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
