Security Officer Access Control Part Time

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, assisting residents and visitors, and responding to security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and support a positive community experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records in accordance with community procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and access-related information to appropriate personnel and complete required reports and logs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.50 / Hour

• Part Time
• Day shift: Tuesday and Wednesday, 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
