Security Officer Access Control Driver
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location as an Access Control professional in a driving post. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, support visitor and vehicle access procedures, and perform routine patrols to help promote a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and entry screening at a utilities location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, review credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or other security-related concerns in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, control points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access issues, and/or site policy violations.
- Support daily operations by documenting activity, completing required reports, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel regarding security-related events and observations.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
