Security Officer Access Control Day Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support employees, visitors, and operations through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting unusual activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for team members, visitors, and deliveries while following post orders and verifying authorized access to restricted areas.
  • Support daily location operations by communicating with site contacts, observing trailer yards and dock areas, and following established protocols for alarms, disturbances, and/or operational disruptions.

Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
