About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a caring, collaborative culture built on integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor access badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the manufacturing location in accordance with established procedures, including directing authorized deliveries and contractor arrivals.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other designated locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Requirements
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
