About the role
As a Security Officer Access Compliance in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Food/Beverage. You will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors at a food and beverage production location. Your role includes providing exceptional customer service, communicating clearly, and helping deter security-related incidents while representing our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control and visitor logs.
- Screen and document incoming and outgoing vehicles, deliveries, and personnel in accordance with site procedures and food production facility requirements.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions requiring attention.
Requirements
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
