Security Officer Access Authorization Review

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, assisting residents and visitors, and responding to security-related concerns. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter incidents while supporting a positive community experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access at community entry points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing authorized individuals according to established procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify irregularities and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
