About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at Inter-Con, you will be part of a security team supporting critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues requiring enhanced presence, and asset protection services. This role involves covering posts, conducting roving patrols, identifying hazards, and performing additional security-related tasks as needed. You may also be required to perform emergency duties involving physical exertion.
Responsibilities
- Covers posts such as customer counters, employee entrances, vehicle entrances, guard houses, gates, construction gates, parking lots, perimeters, etc.
- Conducts roving patrols around perimeter fences, gates, buildings, warehouses, storage areas, switchyards, etc.
- Identifies fire hazards, unauthorized activities, malfunctioning utilities, hazardous conditions, and performs additional security duties as required.
- Might be required to perform emergency duties involving physical exertion such as standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs., and running.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Physically capable of performing the assigned work
- Able to meet all applicable licensing, registration, and certification requirements in the state where the officer's assigned facility is located
- Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
