Security Officer- 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring of all life safety, access control, surveillance, emergency switchboard, and supply integrity chain.
• Notify, assist, and direct external emergency personnel and internal emergency response teams as necessary.
• Conduct internal and external incident investigations.
• Execute Security Programs, including Emergency Action Plans and Risk and Vulnerability Assessments.
• Perform plant/trailer temperature verifications, food defense inspections, and security patrols.
• Complete necessary reports and documentation for incidents and security-related situations.
• Conduct Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) and Urine Drug Testing (UDT).
• Assist with the development and implementation of security processes and procedures to improve incident response times, analysis, and overall SOC functions.
• Perform access control and patrol duties to detect and prevent theft, damage, accidents, trespass, sabotage, and enforce plant security regulations.
• Verify identification through ID cards, badges, automated records, verbal questioning, and other means.
• Allow entrance to authorized persons and vehicles; deny entry or arrange escorts as appropriate.
• Conduct vehicle searches/inspections, including cargo areas, in accordance with standing operating procedures.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of perimeters, roadways, parking lots, high-traffic areas, and building interiors.
• Operate two-way communications equipment to summon emergency vehicles and crews when needed.
• Implement enhanced security during Emergency Action Plan activation (e.g., bomb threats, fires, or other emergencies).
• Maintain duty journal and prepare written reports to document unusual situations and conditions.
