Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Facility security
- Staffing a magnetometer
- Screwing visitors
- Logging evidence and writing reports when required
- Assisting Investigators in collecting and analyzing information from a variety of sources
- Running criminal histories and providing information to Investigators
- Responding to emergencies within the Attorney General's Office
- Assisting employees of the Attorney General's Office in managing unruly or distraught clients or visitors
- A bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field
- Or a minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement experience and certification from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board
- A working knowledge of law enforcement procedures
- A basic knowledge of state, federal, and local laws and regulations
- Basic computer skills
- An ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public
