Requirements
- Under limited/moderate supervision, responsible for the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property.
- Makes periodic tours of premises and grounds, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper security.
- Guards property against damage, fire, theft, trespassing, and illegal entry.
- Controls access to health system facilities.
- May apply de-escalation tactics with high-risk patients or visitors to limit harm.
- Retains physically assaultive patients as ordered by clinical staff within established parameters.
- Responds to alarms, investigates incidents, collects data, and reports security, safety, and fire hazards.
- Assists in maintaining daily incident log, investigates disturbances, serves as liaison with police, and maintains order during emergencies.
- Writes detailed and complex reports of incidents.
- Collects and secures weapons and illicit drugs according to policies and standards.
- Collaborates with the care team for Designated Examiner evaluations with patients on involuntary hold.
- May screen visitors and issue visitor passes when appropriate.
- Monitor patient, visitor, and employee parking in garages, lots, and zones, enforce parking regulations, and issue citations when necessary.
- Compiles reports to leadership with statistical data related to ticket issuance, towing, and trends.
- Handles moderately complex issues and may refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Qualifications
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years relevant experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Drivers license (fleet vehicle), subject to St. Luke's driving policy.
Pay
This role is subject to St. Luke's driving policy, which requires individuals in this role to not have a record of certain driving-related offenses within the past three (3) years. Schedule
Nampa Hospital work location - overnight shifts 6pm-6am, Saturday and Sunday.
