Security Officer 1st Shift - Unarmed

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location in Savannah, GA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, hangars, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, or potential hazards.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor access in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining awareness of site operations and supporting a professional environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• 1+ years of security experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Alarm panel and access control/badge experience preferred.
• Subject to background investigation, drug screen, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Pay

$18.00 / hour

Schedule

• Full-time, daytime position.
• Monday – Thursday: 07:00 AM – 05:00 PM
