About the role

The purpose of this position is to support the Administration of Baptist Health South Florida with the provision of a safe and secure environment for the care of patients and the peaceful and orderly operation of business throughout all entities serviced. To be proficient in all aspects as a BHSF security officer as provided for and by the BHSF security training program and able to work independently with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the Administration of Baptist Health South Florida in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
• Ensure the peaceful and orderly operation of business across all serviced entities.
• Perform duties as a BHSF security officer in accordance with the BHSF security training program.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment).
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Experience in the field of security, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Law enforcement or military experience desired.
• Required to complete BHSF security training program before the completion of the probationary period and supplemental training classes as offered.

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.84 per hour, depending on experience.
