About the Role
A Security Officer I (SOI) is an entry-level position within the Baptist Health Security Department. The SOI performs basic security duties in an in-house capacity, including the protection of guests, patients, staff, their property, and company assets. Responsibilities are limited to job shadowing, basic unlocks, metal detection, visitor management, and other functions that do not require an Arkansas security credential as defined by Arkansas Act 393.
Responsibilities
- Protect guests, patients, and staff, as well as their property and company assets
- Perform job shadowing under supervision
- Conduct basic unlocks and metal detection
- Manage visitor access and screening
Requirements
- Valid Arkansas Driver’s License
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Able to meet state qualifications to obtain and maintain a security credential
- At least 21 years of age
- Must not use any nicotine or tobacco products in any form
- High school graduate or GED preferred
Schedule
Night shift: 23:30 – 07:30
This position is authorized for 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
