About the Role

The Security Monitoring Agent (SMA) provides live surveillance of Empyreal facilities and vehicles, ensuring the safe and secure transport and processing of client assets. This includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Empyreal's security systems while providing general support to company users across multiple locations. The role ensures facility and vehicle communications, tracking, monitoring, and access systems remain operational and properly maintained.

This position is located in Englewood, just a short ride from Park Meadows Mall.

Schedule

This role covers vacation and other time off for all shifts, with schedules posted at least one week in advance for each 2-week period. The Security Operations Center operates 24/7 with the following shifts:

  • Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Swing Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Shifts per week: 5 (8-hour shifts, with availability to work overtime if necessary).

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain facility and vehicle tracking, security, and systems to ensure strict compliance with security protocols.
  • Maintain safe and secure vehicle and facility environments to ensure employee safety.
  • View and monitor facility and vehicle remote surveillance cameras and security systems.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot remote connectivity to facility and vehicle communications, tracking, security, and camera systems.
  • Ensure mobile device tracking and security systems are communicating properly.
  • Manage and maintain vehicle communication, access, and tracking systems through physical and electronic locking mechanisms.
  • Monitor and verify personnel, vendor, and visitor access to Empyreal facilities.
  • Coordinate with on-site operations and personnel, including logistics and cash services management units.
  • Provide incident summary reports to the Security Systems Administrator and executive staff as required.
  • Respond to security system support requests from branch personnel.
  • Interact and consult with the Security Systems Administrator on the design, deployment, and maintenance of tracking and security systems.
  • Ensure facility security cameras are operational and configured for efficient and accurate video footage.
  • Communicate with security system vendors and recommend improvements, upgrades, and changes.
  • Provide facility and vehicle tracking and security system support to branch personnel.
  • Search, access, transfer, and archive facility and vehicle footage as necessary.
  • Facilitate the transfer of video footage to branch personnel, clients, and/or law enforcement as authorized.
  • Ensure security systems are protected from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and data damage.
  • Document and bookmark incidents or injuries, noting occurrence and circumstances.
  • Maintain high integrity, ethical standards, and Empyreal’s reputation by delivering reliable programs and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework preferred).
  • Two or more years of experience using, installing, administering, and maintaining security systems and surveillance equipment.
  • Knowledge of security architecture, policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based hardware/software, Google Android-based mobile devices, GPS tracking systems, facility security access systems, and other security devices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, clients, vendors, and service providers.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Trustworthiness and ability to act quickly, effectively, and with integrity.
  • Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong recall and retention of information.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure dictated by event schedules and project timetables.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret written and verbal instructions and reports.
