Security Manager

About the role

Mandarin Oriental, Boston is seeking a Security Manager to lead the Security team. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with a preference for experience in luxury hospitality. The successful candidate will manage all security staff, enforce policies, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, guidance, and support to all Security Officers and Security Supervisors
• Create a safe and secure environment for guests, residents, and colleagues
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for the Security department
• Oversee security needs for high-profile and VIP guests
• Review and follow up on incident, loss, and accident reports
• Administer the hotel's key control program
• Manage fire, life, health, and safety policies and procedures
• Train colleagues in emergency procedure preparedness
• Manage scheduling and payroll for the Security department, monitor overtime and labor expenses
• Perform any other duties as required by management

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in luxury hospitality is strongly preferred
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Effective management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of the shift
• Flexible schedule, including overnight shifts

Pay

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $78,000 annually.

Schedule

Flexible schedule, including overnight shifts.
