Security Manager

Safety

• Oversee the Safety Management Program for HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the Safety Management Program annually
• Chair the Environment of Care Committee and the Executive Environment of Care Committee meetings
• Expedite reports on all elements of Joint Commission's Environment of Care
• Perform environmental safety tours of the facility per The Joint Commission standards
• Identify potential safety problems, suggest corrective action, and monitor compliance
• Conduct monthly fire drills
• Provide special annual training on OSHA required programs
• Assist in the management of the hazard communication program
• Ensure compliance with the NFPA Life Safety Code and Authority of Jurisdiction (AOJ)
• Oversee safety programs at satellite facilities including periodic fire and disaster drills
• Evaluate the impact of construction activities on safety
• Manage resources to ensure an efficient and cost-effective safety program
• Partner with facility leadership to promote safety programs

Emergency Management

• Plans, directs, and administers the Emergency Management Program including plans, procedures, and drills
• Acts as a liaison with other municipalities, county, state, federal, and other emergency management organizations
• Facilitate emergency management drills
• Organize, manage, and sustain ASHER prevention, preparedness, mitigation and recovery
• Manage purchasing details for equipment used for emergency management

Qualifications

• Hospital safety professional certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in security, law enforcement, or a closely related field with 2 years of experience in a security field or law enforcement, or the equivalent in education and experience preferred
• Three to five years’ experience in safety; emergency preparedness required
