Security / Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and using Closed Circuit TV. Report writing. Interact with local law enforcement agencies as needed. Provide courtroom testimony as required.

Responsibilities

• Read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
• Communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
• Write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports
• Be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
• Be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
• Attend scheduled shifts
• Tardiness and absenteeism are not tolerated
• Previous loss prevention experience is preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
• Criminal Justice or related studies are preferred but not required

Requirements

• Pre-Employment criminal background and drug screen
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to work under little or no direct supervision
• Attendance for scheduled shifts
• Tardiness and absenteeism are not tolerated

Qualifications
