Security / Loss Prevention Officer
Immediate Opening for a Full Time Loss Prevention Officer
Location: Retail Store in Belton, MO
About the Role
Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and using Closed Circuit TV
Report writing
Interact with local law enforcement agencies as needed
Provide courtroom testimony as required
Responsibilities
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- $22.00 per hour
Requirements
- Pre-Employment criminal background and drug screen
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
- Ability to write legibly, accurately, and easily understood reports
- Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
- Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
- Absence from scheduled shifts is not tolerated
- Previous loss prevention experience a plus, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
