Security / Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and using Closed Circuit TV. Report writing. Interact with local law enforcement agencies as needed. Provide courtroom testimony as required.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• $21.00 per hour.

Job Requirement

• Pre-Employment criminal background and drug screen.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means.
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation.
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated.
• Previous loss prevention experience a plus, but not a requirement.
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus.
• Must be able to obtain state required PERC prior to employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).

Skills

Assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation. Trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision. Clear and accurate communication skills.
