Security Lead

Location: West Hollywood Store • Full-time

About the role

The Kith Security Lead partners with the Head of Security and/or the General Manager on overall security responsibilities. This role is essential to the daily functions of the store’s retail operations, ensuring the safety of staff and customers through diligent monitoring of the sales floor and entrances. The Security Lead also contributes to seamless store operations by managing lines outside the store and assisting with product releases.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance(s) of the store, managing traffic in and out
• Check employee coats and bags upon entry and exit
• Handle undesired conduct, violations of building policy, and civil laws to ensure the safety of guests, employees, patrons, and property
• Observe the sales floor for potential theft and fraud
• Provide supervisory-level support to the Head of Security and/or General Manager in managing both in-house and third-party security guards
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Manage lines and crowds that form outside the store
• Provide support to guests and team members in safety, crowd management, or crisis response situations
• Ensure store compliance with building, city, state, or federal ordinances regarding crowds inside and outside the store
• Assist the store management team with housekeeping tasks, including dusting, sweeping, trash collection, and other standard retail operations

Special Projects/Tasks

• Assist in the execution of in-store product releases by managing and monitoring crowds/lines before and during store operating hours
• Follow the direction of the Head of Security or General Manager in emergency situations

Requirements

• Open and flexible availability, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Consistent availability for weekends, special projects, product drops/releases, or as business needs require
• Valid State Security Guard License/Certificate or Guard Card
• 2–3 years of security experience
• 2–3 years in loss prevention (preferred but not required)
• 1–3 years in a customer-facing environment
• 1+ years in a retail/apparel environment

Skills/Abilities

• Effective communication with both internal and external customers
• Crowd management experience
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods
• Conflict de-escalation skills
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs
• Ability to perform standard retail tasks, including bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools

Pay

$28–$30 per hour
