Security Installer

Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute installation projects from kickoff to completion.
- Install, program, and commission access control, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems.
- Mentor and supervise field crews; ensure safety and quality.
- Manage schedules, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strong customer and internal communications to deliver successful projects.
- Install appropriate devices; dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security.
- Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials, and clean up installation debris.
- Contact customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.
- Prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.
- Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.
- Test operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
- Read building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints as required.
- Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
- Manage installation teams on larger projects.
- Coach and mentor less experienced installers.
- Remote travel required, using provided company vehicle and equipment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated programming aptitude.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Experience bending conduit.
- Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
- Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.
- Proven leadership experience in installation or field operations.
- Hands-on experience installing and programming various access, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems; familiarity with IP video, door controllers, readers, alarm panels, and related software.
Qualifications
- Some technical school training is a plus.
- Ccure Certification (preferred, not required).
- Lenel certification (preferred, not required).
Pay
Hiring hourly range: $36–46 (hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
