Security IDaaS Engineer | Location: Remote | Contract | Hourly Pay Range: $40-$65 Join a dynamic organization as a Security IDaaS Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing identity and access management solutions within a cloud-focused environment. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge IAM platforms, automate security processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen organizational security posture. Key Responsibilities Designs, configures, and maintains IDaaS, IAM, and federation services to ensure secure authentication and authorization.Supports application integrations by configuring identity providers, SAML/OAuth protocols, APIs, and access workflows.Creates and manages IAM objects, including users, groups, service accounts, and API tokens, to support organizational identity needs.Develops and enforces security controls, access policies, and safeguards to protect sensitive information assets.Troubleshoots and resolves identity and access incidents, adhering to incident and change management procedures.Automates identity and access management processes utilizing scripting tools such as PowerShell, Postman, and Python.Collaborates with engineering, application, and security teams to improve access management services, reduce manual tasks, and accelerate project delivery.Assists in designing solutions supporting authentication, authorization, and API-based identity services.Supports security reviews, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives related to identity platforms and access controls.Contributes to operational resilience by improving change management practices and recovery planning for security incidents.Creates and maintains technical documentation, processes, and knowledge-sharing materials.Participates in Agile team planning, development practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), security engineering, or related roles.Hands-on experience with IDaaS solutions and IAM concepts.Strong knowledge of authentication and federation protocols, including OAuth and SAML.Experience with Okta or similar identity management platforms.Support experience in cloud environments such as AWS and/or Azure.Proficiency with scripting and automation tools, including PowerShell and Postman.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Solid understanding of access management concepts, security controls, and identity lifecycle processes.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF.Knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and REST API integrations.Familiarity with Python scripting and automation.Experience with IGA platforms like Saviynt.Support for security reviews, compliance activities, and enterprise-scale identity solutions.
