As a Security Guard Screening Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and staff by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with established screening protocols and reporting expectations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or shipping-related access permissions, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Loss prevention experience.
• Customer service experience.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
• X-Ray screening experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience.
