About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will engage professionally with visitors and staff, provide clear communication, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to transit employees, passengers, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of rail facilities, stations, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and client representatives.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
