About the role

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial office building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
