About the role
Award-winning security and facility services company Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Security Clearance in Menlo Park, CA. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a professional, welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, badge and access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns and report conditions that need attention.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor processing and/or delivery coordination in accordance with site policies.
- Support a professional work environment by remaining visible, answering questions, and helping to address security-related issues with courtesy and professionalism.
Requirements
- Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a security-related field.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen.
