Job Description
As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol in Lake Placid, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier athletic training location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to guests, staff, and visitors. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, routine rounds, and timely reporting.

What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, athletes, staff, vendors, and guests by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
