About the role

As a Security Guard Unarmed - Logistics in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and report observations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access control concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant details to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and support a professional, welcoming environment for personnel and visitors.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
