About the role

State of Tennessee MHSAS seeks Security Guards, Unarmed for a W2 contract position in Nashville, TN. This is a night shift role with a long-term contract duration.

Schedule

• Contract: 08/28/2026 – 07/06/2031
• Shift: Night Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM CST
• Schedule: 7 days/week, based on assignment
• Openings: 3
• Location: 221 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, TN 37214

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Current CPR certification preferred (certification can be provided if needed)
• Security, law enforcement, or related experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

• Patrol facilities and monitor security systems, alarms, and safety hazards
• Control entry/exit and verify visitor identity and authorization
• Escort individuals when required
• Respond to emergencies and assist with locating missing/unauthorized individuals
• Communicate with supervisors and law enforcement agencies
• Prepare incident reports, visitor logs, citations, and property reports
• Operate radios, security equipment, vehicles, golf carts, and computers
