About the role

We are looking for phenomenal Security Professionals to join our team as an Unarmed Access Control Officer. This full-time position offers $17.25 per hour with 24-hour coverage across 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and flex shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Perform foot patrol and basic computer tasks.
• Demonstrate strong customer service, problem-solving, and report-writing proficiency.
• Manage conflicts, work as a team player, and adapt to changing situations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Can lift up to 20 pounds.
• Must be reliable, self-motivated, results-driven, and willing to go above and beyond.
• Must have own transportation and be willing to pick up shifts.
• Florida State Security Agency License No. B8500287 (or ability to obtain).
