Responsibilities

• Train to have complete knowledge of the property where assigned, including facilities, post orders, emergency contact lists, emergency procedures, special instructions, and all post duties.
• Work overnight position in an office building in downtown Norfolk. Scheduled times are 11pm to 7am Monday-Friday.
• Assure proper use and maintenance of all equipment used at the site by assigned officers (keys/key cards, cell phones, radios, wands, etc.).
• Assists with the staffing of all posts to ensure complete coverage.
• Complete reports and sign-in sheets to ensure clarity, completeness, accuracy, and legibility.
• Ensure all entries are complete, accurate, and legible.
• Review post orders on a regular basis.
• Report any complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, or unfair labor practices to the Supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have scheduling flexibility.
• Be able to walk and sit for extended periods of time when required.
• Possess exceptional customer service skills.
• Be able to multitask.
• Be proficient with Microsoft office products and be able to operate and maintain site specific security programs.
