Security Guard - Sherwood Oaks

About the role

The Security Guard position at Sherwood Oaks, part of UPMC Senior Communities and managed by Presbyterian SeniorCare Network, is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt role with varied shifts and days, including every other weekend. The starting pay range is $18.00/hour to $21.00/hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, patients, visitors, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Monitor campus facilities and grounds for potential hazards.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in crisis situations.
• Interact courteously with residents, patients, visitors, and team members.
• Document incidents and interactions accurately and timely.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• An associate’s degree in criminal justice is preferred.
• One year of experience in safety, security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working in a hospital or Life Care Community is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively is required.
• Good attention to detail is necessary.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Pay

$18.00/hour to $21.00/hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Variated shifts can be: 7 AM – 3:30 PM, 8 AM – 4:30 PM, 9 AM – 5:30 PM, 3 PM – 11:30 PM, and 11 PM – 7:30 AM. Every other weekend.
