Security Guard - Second Shift

As a Security Guard Part Time Screening Agent in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screens individuals, parcels, bags, and/or other items entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with post procedures and reporting guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to the appropriate site contacts.
• Maintain a visible presence, monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor and/or delivery activity to help support authorized entry and movement throughout the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting maintenance concerns, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations for follow-up.

Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
