As a Security Guard Screening Specialist in Chester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. In this dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and materials, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to security‑related concerns, and deliver outstanding service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology‑focused location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established procedures; verify authorization, review identification, and direct individuals to appropriate entry points or contacts.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and screening equipment, escalating unauthorized access attempts, prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, lobby spaces, and the surrounding business perimeter, while documenting observations and completing required reports.

Requirements

• A Guard Card or applicable license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$19.00 per hour

• Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
