Security Guard Full Time Screening Specialist

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a full‑time Security Guard Full Time Screening Specialist in Columbus, OH. In this role you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries, maintaining a welcoming, controlled environment by screening individuals and belongings, monitoring access points, and reporting security‑related concerns. Your visible presence, professional communication, and customer‑focused approach will help deter incidents while supporting a positive experience for everyone at the location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, visitors, and/or belongings in accordance with site‑specific procedures and applicable access requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Adapt to varying working environments and conditions depending on the client site.

Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.75 per hour (full‑time position).

• Tuesday: 12:30 PM – 08:30 PM
• Wednesday: 12:30 PM – 08:30 PM
• Thursday: 12:30 PM – 08:30 PM
• Sunday: 12:30 PM – 08:30 PM
