Security Guard Residential Patrol

About the Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a residential community in Providence, RI, maintaining a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with residents and visitors, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property to deter unauthorized entry and maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, management, and emergency responders while providing support for security-related needs at the location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
