Security Guard - Armed Residential Patrol

Responsibilities

• Conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior).
• Control access and egress.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Compose reports.
• Deter criminal activity and misconduct.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess one or more of the following: Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone.
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies preferred.
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch.
• A Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age, or higher.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Have demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Have effective oral and written communication skills.
• Have problem solving abilities.
• Have active listening skills.
• Have the ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
• Have the ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
• Have the ability to research, investigate, compile information.

Qualifications (must Have)

• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field.
• Be at least 21 years of age, or higher.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Have the ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic) preferred.
