About the role
We are hiring a Security Guard to oversee a residential building in the Columbus Circle area of Manhattan. This is a part-time position with shifts available in the afternoon and overnight. Candidates should be flexible to work Monday through Sunday and exhibit strong customer service skills for daily interactions with the public, clients, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
- Minimum of one year of experience.
Pay
$21.87 - $22.87 per hour.
